Ahh, jetzt weiss ich, warum ich DocSnyder in allen möglichen Foren
nach Stromsparmöglichkeiten fragen sehe 
Zur Frage: Mit dem Duron wirst Du wohl nicht unter 50 Watt kommen. Da
bleibt Dir nur ein Celeron. Wenn’s um Stromverbrauch geht,
unschlagbar (ausser Du nimmst einen Via C3, der ist aber lahm). Mit
dem Duron würde ich mal versuchen, ob dein Board Under*volt*ing kann.
Ich hatte mal testweise einen Duron drin, den ich auf 1,45 Volt (von
1,65?) runtersetzen konnte. Die CPU Temperatur ging um über 10 Grad
nach unten. Dementsprechend der Strombedarf auch, aber keine Ahnung,
was das in Watt heisst. Wenn ich jetzt noch versucht hätte, die CPU
zu under*clock*en, wäre noch mehr drin gewesen. (Ein auf 550 MHz
runtergetakteter Duron wurde schon mit 1,1 Volt gesichtet (und könnte
damit wahrscheinlich sogar passiv gekühlt werden)).
Problem: Die Voltzahl ist bei den meisten Boards nicht sonderlich
weit nach unten einstellbar (wenn überhaupt). Boards, die bis 1,5
Volt runtergehen, sind schon selten. Boards, die bis 1,1 Volt gehen,
noch viel seltener. Ich vermute, dass bei Serverboards die Auswahl
noch viel geringer ist.
Ein anderer Tipp: http://vcool.occludo.net/
Sorgt dafür, dass der Duron/Athlon den HLT Befehl (der die CPU
schlafen lässt) trotz eines Bugs im VIA Chipsatz bei der CPU ankommt.
Sollte, wenn die CPU nix macht, auch ein paar Watt bringen.
